I tried to memorize some bombastic words and idiom to write essays. However, it just gain me 1 mark improvement. T-T

Good morning I bid to Dr. Chin Kok Goon, the principal of SMJK Kwang Hua, administrators, teachers and all my friends. Today, I feel on top of the world for being given a chance to share some information about Influenza A(H1N1). I am Jimmy, the chairperson of the Health Club. Please bear with me and listen carefully with the patient of saint because what I will talk now is related to your health.

First and foremost, this influenza A(H1N1) was originated from USA. Scientists believe that this disease is the combination flu of human, avian and mammals. Which means, the animals around us are exposed to this disease too. There is nothing much I should say more irrelevant information on our health, so I will bring the talk to the symptoms of influenza A(H1N1).

According to the survey conducted in globalize, a patient would feel cold, body ache, high fever and cough. Normally the symptoms will be obvious after a week time. That is why one should quarantine himself for a week if they have these symptoms. Do not confuse it with the common fever because the person may suffer from fever for many days. If anyone of you realize you have these symptoms, please do not hesitate anymore and see the doctor immediately.

Next, prevention is better than cure. We should be thankful because our government concerns about out health. They have given green light to provide free face mask to every student. So, please use the mask wisely. It is advisable to avoid from the crowded places but if it is unavoidable, please wear a mask. It would protect you from the penetration of the virus.

Hygiene is the best solution to get rid of most of the diseases. I know most of us do not practice the habit of wash hand frequently or proper ways to wash hands. It is never too late to mend, please wash hands with soap and follow the proper steps in the posters as it will claim you a healthy body. When you want to cough or sneeze, make sure you cover your mouth with tissue and throw them into dustbin.

Water is needed for metabolic purposes. It helps us to excrete the toxic inside our body. This is also a way to prevent influenza. So, please drink plenty of water everyday. If possible, make sure you drink 8 glasses of water a day. Last but no least, open your ears to keep up with the latest news. You may get useful information from that.

Well, I hope that what I have said is informative enough to let you know Influenza AH1N1 well. I am not an loquacious person, so I shall end my speech in here. Thank you very much!

It was a stormy night. Suddenly Mazlan heard the rain dropped intermittently. It was 11pm, most of the older generation has a practice of lighting off that time. Mazlan was a night owl however the eerie of silent had turned him into a solitude wolf.

The telephone rang like a bolt from the blue sky. It was Jenny, a former classmate who is also the best friend of Mazlan. The trepidation of the lonely was disappeared after receiving the cell.

“Hi Mazlan, it is me Jenny, your favorite one!” said Jenny.

“What brings you here today, Jenny? It is seem like you have get the perfect timing because I am free now to have a chat marathon with you.” said Mazlan with delight.

“Actually I cannot wait to share my merrier with you. I am on top of the world because my name is listed in the top 10 of the China Oversea Teenagers Common Knowledge Competition. There were about ten thousand plus Malaysian took part and I cannot believe my eye when I saw the short list!” said Jenny full with excitement.

“Wow, amazing! You are a man, Jenny! How did you do that? I took part on that competition also but unfortunately I got embarrassed result.” said Mazlan with amazement.

“Actually at that time, I was not planned to take part this competition. However our lovely Chinese teacher, Sir Joshua urged me to do so. He said that it was a chance of my lifetime to kill two birds with a stone because I had a flair for Chinese common knowledge. Moreover, I could join this interesting competition instead of being a bookworm at home.” Jenny explained how she started the game.

“Jenny, I like your words! I do always believe that all work and no play make Jack a dull boy. However we had to read three books for the competition. It was a crux for a monkey like me to study. I was burning the midnight oil and unable to finish the three books. I think that is why I am facing the music for getting such shameful result.” said Mazlan with an inferior tone.

“So, laziness does attribute to failure. Then we should not cry over the spitted milk but have to plan to study for our incoming SPM! I am always believes that those who fail to plan, plan to failed. By the way, I will fly to Shanghai, China for 15 days during the June semester break. It is totally free of charge for being the top 10. We will have cultural tours at there and conduct a prize giving section during the last day. According to the rules and regulation, the prize would be an international certificate, a limited edition bilingual dictionary that cannot be found in market and bonus of RMB 1000!” Jenny was indulged in her daydream on the days she flies to Shanghai.

“Jenny, you have caused me heartburn. I am regretting for not well prepared during that time. You have lighted up my spirit to get into top 10 in next year competition. If not mistaken, China will be in summer during June, have you prepared well for you journey?” asked Mazlan.

“This is not the first time you know me right! I am not the one who prepare at the eleventh hours. I have done some survey on the climate, geography and reviews of Shanghai. My mum also bought me some refreshing oxygenated sky juice to avoid sunstroke. She even gave me some local items for me to give to my future friends in China. Now, I cannot wait the arrival of the days!” said Jenny with confidence.

“You will receive RMB 1000 right. Do you have any plan on how to use them? If I have it, I will buy some latest computer games and play them for the rest of my life. How about you?” said Mazlan.

“I guess I am a nerd and also illiterate to computer games. So, I think I will use a small amount to buy some famous books like Percy Jackson series. My parents did advise me to spend them wisely to avoid waste. They said I should keep them for rainy day.” answered Jenny.

“It seem like it is 12 midnight right now, usually at this time you should fall asleep already. Did not you feel so?” said Mazlan.

“You are like the worm in my stomach. I guess I have to stop now. See ya!” Jenny farewell to Mazlan.

Mazlan turned off his phone. He was happy and proud to have this best friend. He was glad that Jenny’s call had helped him to pass his boring time. Now, he continued his study on history for tomorrow examination. It seems like his habits has not changed at all!

Why cant I get a higher marks??? WHy???? T-T
